Raised to Live Higher: Walking in the Power of the New Covenant

Epistle to the Romans 6:4 teaches us something life-changing: when we are baptized, we are buried with Christ and raised to live a new kind of life. Baptism is not just a symbol. It represents the death of the old nature and the beginning of a brand-new walk with God.

Under the old law, people were commanded to live righteously — but they did not have the power within themselves to do it. The law showed them what was right, yet it could not transform the heart.

But under the New Covenant, everything changes.

Book of Ezekiel 36:26–27 reveals God’s promise:

“I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit in you.”

This is not behavior modification. This is heart transformation.

God does not just tell us to live right — He puts His Spirit inside us so we can live right.

Then comes the empowerment.

Acts of the Apostles 1:8 says we receive power when the Holy Spirit comes upon us. The baptism in the Holy Spirit gives us strength to overcome sin, fear, and limitation. It is not about emotion — it is about divine ability.

Let’s break it down clearly:

  • The blood of Jesus forgives our sins.
  • Water baptism shows our old nature has been buried.
  • The Holy Spirit gives us power to live differently.

These three — blood, water, and Spirit — work together to bring us into Kingdom living.

This is how we move from earthly struggle into spiritual authority.

It is like the wind. You cannot always see it, but you see its effects. When the Spirit moves in your life, things begin to shift — your thinking, your desires, your responses. You begin to rise.

And there is a call to rise.

Book of Revelation 4:1–2 says:

“Come up here…”

The Spirit is still speaking those words today.

Come up higher.

Come above old patterns.

Come above fear.

Come above compromise.

The question is not whether God is calling.

The question is — are you responding?

Today, by faith, respond to the lifting power of the Holy Spirit. You are not meant to stay buried in what Christ already conquered. You were raised to live higher.

Kingdom women do not just survive.

We rise.
